Needlepoint

I already started reading Crafts for Dummies. I chose needlepoint to start this “crafting hobby” because among all the crafts presented, needlepoint crafts require only basic materials. You only need yarns, a canvas background (the screen-like plastic), a needle (needle with big hole), a charted design to follow (graphing paper with patterns of alphabet) and scissors.

Then ta-da!!! Needlepoint bookmarks!!! You can make one at around 4 to 5 hours even while watching tv or lying down. ;) You just need to master some basic stitches like continental and cross-stitch. (I did with some help from youtube tutorials XD and with the handy dandy CFD). Here are some samples.

There’re a lot of things you can do with needlepoint. You can make gift tags, frames, pillow cases, or what have you. :)
